About Me

A Passion for Helping Others
Hi. I'm Yasmeen Desnavi. I have a Bachelors Degree (Honours) in Psychology and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. As a registered member of BACP (MBACP), I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals, couples, domestic violence victims, cancer patients, families, teenagers, and young adults on their journey to emotional well-being.

Along with that I am a wife and a mother of 2. I am also an active volunteer and founder of a volunteer organisation committed to fostering support and solidarity for the local community.

A Decade of Charitable Service: Beyond my clinical work, since 2015 I have been running a charity (Unity-Community) that provides essential support to those struggling to make ends meet, regardless of their background. This experience has deepened my understanding of the challenges people face and reinforced my commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.

Sparking Change in Lives and Relationships: By combining my expertise with a personalised approach, I help clients overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve lasting positive change.

A Multilingual Approach: As a fluent English, Urdu, and Hindi speaker, I create a welcoming and inclusive environment where clients from diverse backgrounds can feel understood and supported in their own language.

Tailored Therapeutic Approaches: I employ a range of integrative therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Person-Centred Therapy: A non-judgmental and supportive environment where you can explore your feelings and experiences.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): A practical approach to managing problems by changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.

  • Transactional Analysis: A method for understanding and improving your social interactions and communication with others and in relationships.

Empowering Clients to Grow and Thrive: Through my work, I've witnessed the incredible potential for personal growth and transformation. If you're ready to invest in yourself and your relationships, I'm here to guide you on your journey.
